WONDERFUL! Just what I'v been looking for....

1. What I would have wanted to know prior to purchasing: The pockets a wee bit on the small side, but this is in comparison to the commercial frozen ravioli we've been buying. Maybe an actual size photo of the finished ravioli would be nice.
2. Other than that, the product works beautifully; raviolis "stuff" nicely, top pasta dough crimps perfectly to fill layer dough when pasta dough is made correctly. No "leaks" in the pockets, dough "falls" out of pockets as intended. We used olive oil on a paper towel to coat the frame and it worked well.

Easy to use and clean. makes nice size raviolli. Get a cheap wooden roller to help with the final sealing and cutting.
A useful gadget

The Norpro ravioli maker is easy to use, and I love it because it's a non-electric gadget that works well, if you know how to use it properly. I found that it's important to lightly flour the surface of it before each pasta cutting, and it may be necessary to use a sharp knife to completely sever the edges between raviolis. Ravioli is much easier to make than you might think, especially with this handy tool.
A No-Brainer way to Ravioli

This is probably the easiest way to literally make as many ravioli as possible, only limited to as much pasta dough and filling you have, at an assembly-line pace.
The very first time I used it I made 12 dozen ravioli in less that 30 minutes.
The only caveat is to either sufficiently flour or spray oil onto the metal component.
I highly recommend this to any and all.
Works Well but Do Not Put in Dishwasher

The title says it all, the device works fine but one trip through the dishwasher and it will oxidize like you won't believe. After the first use, and one dishwashing, I scrubbed for half an hour to get the device to a state that did not transfer too much aluminum oxide off on my hands or the ravioli I was making. The product was $12, so I guess I should have figured the finish was not dishwasher safe but a warning would have been nice. At $12 it is not worth sending back, I'll just buy another and be more careful. If you do buy one of these sort of devices, a wooden rolling pin and some cooking spray are mandatory. Hand wash when you are done!!!
