   This thermometer is helpful in determining if your oven is accurate. It's clear and easy to read. When I first used it in the oven and the oven was cooling down, it made some click/cracking noises, and I thought it broke. But it still works fine; must have just been adjusting to the cooling temps.

   have an oven that's too hot for temp shown, this is doing the job so far. Note product is made in China, so I'm going to see how it lasts. Size is nice and very visible.

   Seems to be pretty accurate but I can't give it a full 5 stars because the face has already cracked after just a month of usage. It doesn't seem to affect the thermometer functionality but it's pretty disappointing to think that it's so fragile despite not getting moved around or bumped at all! Maybe it cracked because we use the broiler so often, I don't know ... but we keep it on the lower shelf far away from the high heat of the broiler element so that shouldn't play a role. At any rate, I do think that this is a good thermometer at a good price. Just don't expect great durability.

   The oven thermometer we had been using for years was not accurate anymore so I looked on Amazon for a replacement. This highly rated thermometer is very accurate and easy to read. Now my cakes don't burn anymore.

   Easy to read through a CLEAN oven door and easier to read through a dirty one. Seems to be accurate.
