   Ok, let's start off with the obvious. Yes, 5 oz is not a very large container size. Now, having said that, unless you buy your olive oil at a warehouse and want to keep the entire 5 gallons of it on your table, the limited size really isn't much of an issue. It's big enough for a couple of people to drizzle over their salads or something like that. We actually use this for our Balsamic Vinegar though, and use the larger 8 oz Cruet (also made by Chef's Planet) for our oil, since we use more oil than vinegar.
   
   As far as design goes, let's face it, the biggest problem with oil cruets is dripping. A lot of cruets claim to be "drip-free" but ultimately, with any type of liquid, there will *always* be minuscule dripping. What's great about this little guy though, is because the spout rests in what is basically a funnel, any oil or vinegar that does happen to drip after you use it, runs down the neck of the spout, and funnels right back into the cruet! (It's amazing there aren't more cruets designed like this, when it's such a simple and smart solution)
   
   The only reason I am giving this a 4 out of 5 is because, yes, despite everything I said earlier, it *would* be nice if it were a bit bigger. The 5oz (this one) is fine for limited use of 1-4 people (depending on how much you use), or for vinegar like we do, and the 8oz version (Chef's Planet 8 oz Glass Cruet) is great too. I just wish there was a 10oz version for when you have more than just a few people. Anyway, suffice to say, if you're just looking for a "drip-free" oil cruet that is not only functional but elegant, this is definitely one to consider.

   I got this to promote use of olive oil (better for the heart) instead of butter (not good for the heart). When I make toast, I drizzle on it instead of butter. And to grease the frying pan, I drizzle. I've even drizzled on popcorn, and it works just fine. Drizzles when & where you want it, and doesn't drip. Good design.
   
   The 5 oz container is roughly the size of a baseball, and the spout is also glass (which wasn't obvious from the pictures, as I remember), but it came thru the mail w/no breakage and we haven't broken it yet, so I think I'm totally pleased with it.

   I love this delicate oil cruet. I had been considering one for a couple years and never got around to buying one. I'm glad I bought this. It is perfect for drizzling olive oil and for storing in between drizzlings!

   This cruet has been the answer to my EVOO drizzle problems.
   As you may have found, the openings on large bottles of EVOO are large and I had trouble controlling the amount used. Since using this cruet, I have been able to control the amount of EVOO in stir fry veggies, fish, etc.
   I love it. It looks small but when you are using EVOO, a little goes a long way. I would highly recommend this product.
